I was in no mood to have my picture taken. This is a “it’s been one of those days” moment. Sh*t. It’s been one of those months.

And then I went to work like this on Wednesday….

…and came back with bangs on Thursday.

Dresses & necklace by Cynthia Rowley
Before I made the ultimate decision to get les bangs, I looked around for a while at a few women whom I had always loved and admired for their style. My early “vintage fashion” girl crushes were always Marianne Faithfull, Brigitte Bardot, and Hayley Mills… and during my bang research, I added Jean Shrimpton, Jane Asher and Pattie Boyd to the mix. However now that I am a little bit older, (doubtfully) a bit wiser, and have a better sense of my own personal style I’ve narrowed my icon list down a bit. The two women who most recently have tickled my fancy and made it to the end of “the list” were Jane Birkin and Françoise Hardy.
I just really love everything about Françoise Hardy’s style. She has the tiniest bit of a tom boy and down-to-earth air mixed with that effortless girly charm.
Smitten.
