Who: Charlotte Taylor
Where: Great Britain, and hopefully everywhere else soon
British designer Charlotte Taylor’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection is sure to catch your eye with it’s colorful, loud and quirky prints. After studying at Central Saint Martin’s she moved on to work for Luella (sigh) before venturing out on her own just a short time ago. From lobsters to robots to large red ants, this collection seems to shout “FUN!” from the rooftops and begs you to be daring in fashion as well as life. Miss Charlotte is definitely one to watch!
“Strong tailoring, bold silhouettes and sculptured shapes provide canvases for dashes of colour, textures and prints. Charlotte’s vision continually drives a fun, British and quirky streak through her clothes, stemming from her unusual inspirations behind each collection. For Autumn/Winter 10 it was Penguins,Grannies and eccentrics for Spring/Summer 11, Vintage Robots, Sail-making and coppery and rust provide the stimuli for Autumn/Winter.”
